Marco is a PhD student from the University of Bologna, Italy. He previously earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences (2020) and a master’s degree in human biology (2023) from the University of Bologna.

Marco joined the Meucci lab as to work with Dr. Meucci and Dr. Brandimarti on ongoing laboratory projects. He is interested in studying how intracellular trafficking controls β-amyloid production using our lab’s custom viral vectors, and he will study the downstream effects on dendritic spine density and morphology in cortical neurons.

At University of Bologna, Marco developed a three-dimensional cellular model system to study variants of uncertain significance in breast and colorectal carcinoma.
