Jared came to Drexel with a background in biochemistry and molecular biology from Wilkes University, where he developed a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry based methods to quantify stilbene metabolites in Japanese knotweed. He joined the Pharmacology and Physiology PhD program in 2017, and the Meucci lab in 2018. He is currently involved in studies focused on the effect of opioids and HIV on iron-dependent processes, including FHC and APP expression and alterations of the homeostatic functions of the CXCR4/CXCL12 signaling axis.
