Jared is a student in the Pharmacology & Physiology PhD program at Drexel. He earned a BS in biochemistry from Wilkes University in 2017, where he developed a liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method to quantify stilbene metabolites in Japanese knotweed.

In the Meucci lab, Jared’s studies aim to understand how the chemokine CXCL12 regulates neuronal network activity, and which types of neurons facilitate CXCL12’s effects. Jared’s studies use a variety of advanced techniques, including multi-electrode arrays and viral vectors that target specific types of neurons.
